The Reception Meal

A feast of background music

As the guests are welcomed

The line-up can be equally important as any other part of the day.  It is the point where the initial impact of the reception is visual, aromatic and audible!

While your guests will be taking in the views of the reception room and seeing the preparation that has gone into the tables, the flowers, the menus, they will no doubt be hungry and eager to be seated.

We will be doing our part to ensure that the music is playing as it was when they arrived at the ceremony (if you opted for music at the ceremony). The theme of love and romance will continue as they are seated for the reception meal.

During the meal

As the courses are served, your guitarist will follow your pre-arranged instructions for the music.  Drawing from his/her full repertoire, the music will be a balance of styles, tempos and themes according to your preferences,
with enough variety for all of your guests.

Ultimately, the exact choice of music and styles is yours, and your guitarist will follow your instructions.

Special music can be played, including requests, set pieces and even 'happy birthday' and other surprise additions, all according to your instruction given beforehand.

Up until the speeches

At the point when the speeches are about commence, the guitarist will begin to discreetly pack away his/her guitar and equipment, unless you have requested otherwise, and will quietly slip away from the reception room.

This will be done with minimal distraction while the guests are concentrating on listening to the speeches being made at the time.

The guitarist does not have to leave at this point, although it does seem the most appropriate time to do so.  They can also leave later or earlier if required, however this is unusual and, if required, would be good to arrange in advance.
